Hello everybody! I wanted to share a little something. I have done this in the past. I make rules for myself regarding certain things. Believe it or not I am actually really good at sticking to these, believe it or not. In fact, I kind of go OCD on these lol which is also why I don’t ever do it. Also, in large part why, I do not make many of these is that I find that if you make too many you start to overlook rules you ignore may begin to break your own rules. If so, then what is even the point? That’s why I keep it more realistic.

Also I use bullet points instead of a numbered system because there is no hierarchy of importance. They’re all important. Maybe to varying degrees but they all are important.

RULES FOR DRAWING

SET A (rules in set A revolve around my drawing techniques)

  • Proper posture, including the way you sit, hold your pen and even how you stroke the paper or canvas. Really that might sound silly, but it really is important. Backpain, arthritis, etc believe me it is a very important thing to keep in mind.

  • Long even strokes.

  • Counter curves look more professional.

  • Keep negative space and simple shapes always in mind.

  • Focus on the whole image. It’s easy to overwork one area before even having much of the whole thing you’re working on.

  • Sketch ALL THE TIME! Lol no joke. Shout out to @Jerrie46 and @Jose-Ramiro. Look at their work and you’ll be impressed at their level of dedication. They seem like drawing machines but really it’s all about getting into that groove. This is definitely one I need to follow more myself, not gonna lie.

SET B (rules in set B revolve around what I do while I make art)

  • 85% of the time just have music on. Don’t watch shows or movies. BUT if you do then have a playlist already made. Don’t stop to see what to watch next. It slows your work down horrifically. I recommend Neil deGrasse’s “Star Chat.” It’s a great podcast. I also like “Today I found out.” But again, just a good music playlist is the way to go.

  • Makit it fun for yourself. Sketching with others during a zoom conversation is amazing. Meet fellow artists and draw with them. It’s fun and less isolating. I’ve joined a group and we get together and just draw and chat. It’s a lot of fun and I highly recommend it.

  • Limit snacks. Have water instead. If you do want to snack, try having healthy snacks. I’ve been putting a plate of celery and carrots with hummus dip. Or some mixed fruit. Healthy choices basically. It’s definitely better than chips and soda lol. And yes, I used to do that.

  • Something very important to also keep in mind, especially if you have a tendency to be a perfectionist like myself, is to not care about your work. Stop trying to make every piece the absolute best or even pretty good. Sure don't forget the fundamentals and techniques of course but ultimately keep it loose and fun. You gain better skills the more you do. So do not worry about every piece being perfect or even all that good. That just slows you down.

  • Finally, have fun. Draw stuff you like. Forget about your graphic novel or specific characters etc. Those are great pursuits for projects but not for quick practice. There is a tendency to waste time thinking about what things your character should wear or do and that’s great when you’re working on your stories specifically but not for practice. In other words, it’s not good for building up your skills. Those are 2 separate things. Don’t try to mix them, at least not until drawing becomes second nature.

If I made some grammar mistakes, please forgive me. I don’t have time to stop write this too much. It’s just something I wanted to and share really quick. But as I am writing this, I’m just on lunch break lol

... and really I'm sharing what in really I'm just telling myself to do lol

If you have any of your own or suggestions to mine. Please share :)

I rather not upset some celeb by having them see me do some hentai/wrestling scene with them. LOL and honestly, I can’t say I blame them. I mean yeah, I do get the counter argument that when you become famous you should expect weird shit. That is a valid point. But by choice I rather not.

Hi everyone. I wanted to mention this journal entry I did for my group the SFC-SexyFightClub

Basically I crated a folder there for daily practice sketches. The reason I mention it here is because I want to let any of you who put me on their watch list that I will be putting up daily sketches. I'll make a separate folder for that. If you also like to draw sexy fight/wrestling stuff please join the SFC group and put up your stuff there :D

Also I will have your drawing soon vassilizaitzev among others.

First of all I want to make it clear this makes me actually quite happy, honestly. Or rather it's just funny. I just want to show this to all of you.

:lmao: check it out. This website has one of my drawings as free clipart offered by them. And they even as that if you use that image (which is mine) that you use THEIR link to give THEM proper credit lol

And the irony is that it's not even one of my better drawings.

And
